Spilled caramel

Spilled caramel

by Luiza Caramez

According to my mother,

a lady’s hands must be supple and smooth.

But I love the relief from a cracked knuckle,

the destructive comfort that skin-picking grants me, and the storytelling my scars provide.

This one here?

Spilled caramel.
